Dash Eat — Terms of Use
Last updated 17 October 2026
Agreeing to these terms
By using Dash Eat you agree to these terms and to the Dash terms of use (dash-move.app/legal/terms), which cover your Dash account. Where the two differ about Dash Eat, these terms apply. If you do not agree, do not use Dash Eat.
What Dash Eat is
An app to note what you eat and follow a daily calorie guide. It is a wellbeing and tracking tool, not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and nothing in it is medical advice.
Estimates, not measurements
Nutritional values come from public tables (ANSES CIQUAL), from Open Food Facts and from product labels. They are averages and estimates: your food may differ. Check quantities, and never use Dash Eat to dose a medicine, insulin for example. Prayer times in the Ramadan setting are calculated; check them against your mosque.
Your daily guide is only a guide
The daily guide is indicative, calculated from a standard formula, with safety limits: never under 1,200 kcal a day (1,500 for a man), never more than 1% of your weight a week, no target under a BMI of 18.5. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment or a prescription.
Talk to a doctor or a dietitian before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, have diabetes, a kidney or heart condition, a past or present eating disorder, or take medication. If counting makes eating feel hard to control, stop and talk to a professional; You, then Display, then "Hide numbers" removes every figure.
Age
Your Dash account follows the Dash terms (13 and over). Dash Eat's calorie guides and weight targets are for people aged 16 and over; under 18, ask a doctor first.
Your account
One Dash account for Dash Eat and Dash Move. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You can delete your account at any time from the app (You, then Account); this deletes it in both apps. You can also use Dash Eat without an account: what you log is then tied to the app on that phone (see the privacy policy).
Acceptable use
- Use Dash Eat for yourself and lawfully.
- Do not overload, scrape, probe or try to get around the service or its limits, and do not reverse-engineer it beyond what the law allows.
- Foods and dishes you create must not contain anything unlawful, offensive or someone else's personal information.
You keep ownership of what you create. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Free, and Dash Eat Pro
The diary, food search, barcode scanning, quick calories, the recipes, fasting and the Ramadan setting are free, with no time limit. Dash Eat Pro is an optional paid subscription that adds meal photo analysis, voice logging, the diet programmes and the full micronutrient detail. What you have already logged stays yours, with or without Pro.
- Plans and price. Dash Eat Pro is sold monthly or yearly. The price, in your currency and for your country, is shown in the app and by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm. There is no free trial.
- Billing and renewal. Payment is taken by Apple or Google from your store account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same length and at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal is charged in the 24 hours before that date.
- Changing plan and cancelling. Manage, switch plan or cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (Dash Eat: You, then Subscription, opens them). Moving from monthly to yearly starts at once, and the store credits what is left of the month. After you cancel, Pro stays open until the end of the period already paid. Deleting the app or your Dash account does not cancel a store subscription.
- Refunds. Purchases are made with Apple or Google and refunds are handled by them, under their own rules and your consumer rights; we cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
- Failed payments. If a renewal fails, the store retries for a while and Pro stays open during that period; if the payment is not fixed, Pro ends.
- Access offered by Dash. We may offer Pro to some accounts, for a set period or without an end date (a partner or a tester, for example). It costs you nothing, renews nothing, and when it ends you return to the free version, or to your own subscription if you have one.
- Fair use. Photo analysis and voice logging use an AI service and come with allowances (for example a number of photos a month, which can differ by country) and a daily safety limit that protects the service. The app tells you when few are left and when they come back. Automated or bulk use is not allowed.

What we do not promise
Dash Eat is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or free of faults. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Changing these terms
If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
