More than 3,400 foods

France's Ciqual table (ANSES), with everyday portions: a plate, a ladle, a spoon.

Barcode scanning

Point at the pack and the product appears with its values (Open Food Facts).

796 recipes

26 cuisines, with their steps and values per portion. Your home-made dishes are worked out from their ingredients.

Your Diary

Every meal of the day, a time you can change, and any past day you forgot to fill in.

Macros and a daily guide

Fasting your way

Set days, a 16:8 or 18:6 window, one meal a day. A fasting day never counts as "missed".

The Diary: 602 kcal left, the macros and a logged breakfast

And a mode that hides every number, for the days you'd rather not count.

How it works

A meal logged in three moves

  1. Find your meal

Search it, scan its barcode, pick a recipe, or snap it (Pro).

  2. Correct the estimate

Amounts, cooking fat, a forgotten food: everything can be changed before it is added.

  3. See where you stand

Your daily guide, your macros and your week, without judgement.

Common questions

Is Dash Eat free?

Yes. Food search, barcode scanning, the 796 recipes, the Diary, macros and fasting are free, forever. Dash Eat Pro is an optional subscription that adds photo, voice, vitamins and minerals and 8 programmes. Its price is shown in the App Store before you buy.

How does photo → plate work?

With Pro, you take a photo of your meal. AI suggests the foods and their amounts, labelled "AI estimate". You correct anything that's off, then add the plate to your meal.

Are the calories exact?

They are estimates. Values come from France's Ciqual table (ANSES), Open Food Facts and labels, and a photo never shows everything. That's why every result can be corrected before it is added.

What happens to my meal photo?

It is analysed, then deleted: it is never stored. The app asks for your consent before the first upload, and nothing but the meal photo is sent.

Can I log Arab dishes?

Yes. The bank holds 796 recipes from 26 cuisines, including Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian, Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian, Yemeni, Libyan and Gulf dishes, each with its values per portion.

How does Ramadan mode work?

It is off by default and turns on only if you choose it, in You → My fasting. Your days are then built around suhoor and iftar, at your city's times worked out on your phone.

Is Dash Eat on Android?

Dash Eat is available on iPhone. The Android version is coming soon to Google Play.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free Dash account with your email address. The app is in English, French and Arabic, and follows your phone's language.

Does Dash Eat replace a dietitian?

No. Dash Eat is a wellbeing and tracking tool, not a medical device. Calorie guides are for people aged 16 and over. Talk to a professional before changing how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or take medication.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: You → Account → Delete my account. Your whole account is erased. You can also ask from the "Delete my account" page on this site. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your phone's settings.
